Dylan Riggen
Development Manager, Apex Clean Energy
Dylan leads the development of multiple solar and wind projects across Indiana for Apex Clean Energy. Prior to joining Apex, Dylan began his career in fundraising and event planning before taking the helm as Economic Development Director for Vermillion County, IN from 2014-2021. There, he worked as a conduit to attract outside investment to the county and spur community and leadership development from within.
Dylan’s first experience with Apex was while representing his community in this role. He immediately recognized the company’s unique, community-based approach to development. He was hired in early 2021 as a Development Manager to help accelerate the shift to clean energy in Indiana and works in communities across the State from initial outreach and landowner negotiations to building connections with local leaders and stakeholders.
Dylan grew up in West Central Indiana and still resides there today with his wife, Angie, and two boys, Finn and Ross. Dylan has experienced both personally and professionally the economic challenges local communities face and is enthusiastic about the positive impacts renewable projects bring to rural communities, helping them to thrive once again.
Jack Elsnes
Public Engagement Manager, Apex Clean Energy
Jack's background is in nonprofit development and organizing communities in Minnesota, and Maryland. He is passionate about wind and the economic benefits that it brings to communities. He understands how difficult permitting projects like this can be on a community. His goal is to work with located elected leaders by providing transparency and knowledge. He lives in Minnesota with his wife and 3 dogs.
Taylor Strayer
Field Organizer, Apex Clean Energy
Taylor recently finished her second year as an organizer with Apex, working to bring renewable energy to Indiana. Prior to joining Apex, Taylor worked for a local State Farm Agency in her hometown and at IEA in Clinton as a Human Resource Associate.
Taylor graduated from South Vermillion High School and continued her education at Saint Mary of-the-Woods College where she received degrees in Business Administration and Marketing. She was also apart of the SMWC Softball Team.
Taylor and her husband Dru have lived in Clinton, Indiana all their lives. In her free time, she loves to travel, give softball lessons, and spend time with her family and friends. Taylor and her husband look forward to welcoming their first daughter this summer.
